Erik C. Gould

Mr. Gould, together with Mr. Burns and Mr. Harrison, is responsible for strategic direction at ALR including acquisitions, management, dispositions, financing and capital formation. Previously, Mr. Gould practiced as in-house counsel for JMB Realty Corporation and in an Of Counsel capacity with Pircher, Nichols and Meeks. While at JMB and Pircher, Mr. Gould’s responsibilities included providing legal counsel and structuring transactions and agreements on a $1.5 billion geographically diverse portfolio of office, industrial, retail and residential properties, including the four million square foot Houston Center Complex located in Houston, Texas.

Mr. Gould began his career as real estate counsel at Locke Lord Bissell & Liddell LLP (formerly, Lord Bissell & Brook) advising clients such as Centrum Properties, Homart Development Corporation and Pepper Construction. Typical representation included structuring joint ventures and partnerships, real estate acquisition/assemblage/disposition, zoning and land use matters, lender and borrower work including loan workouts, negotiating construction and leasing agreements and managing litigation in connection with all of the above.

Prior to forming Adams LaSalle with Mr. Burns and Mr. Harrison, Mr. Gould served as president of Kestrel Capital, Inc. which functioned as the general partner of various investment limited partnerships focused on equities in the real estate and financial services industries.

Mr. Gould graduated from the University of Chicago Law School in 1986 and received a BA in political science from Georgetown University in 1983.
